As part of a Corporate Real Estate Services team, MPM served as the Tier 1 Project Manager, leading four separate projects in the central region of the US. The process began with the due diligence of a combined 200,000 SF. MPM onboarded and guided the project teams from procurement through their respective punch lists into the warranty period. Each project, adhering to an independent schedule, met the client’s Placed In Service (PIS) date despite challenges such as work being performed in client-occupied spaces and COVID-19 related manufacturing backlogs. The design of each office space incorporated local and community aesthetics, which placed pressure on construction schedules due to material availability. This challenge was overcome by working with MSFT portfolio managers and communicating the need to release and engage vendors within timely and required timeframes. MPM not only met but also exceeded several of the client’s corporate real estate initiatives – which included requirements above and beyond for accessibility – instrumenting change to furniture standards and leading the project group to achieve diversity spend targets.
